I still say do the old, give the dog a bath and tie a pretty bow around her neck and have her sitting so pretty in front of the door when dad comes home(if you can actually accomplish getting her to sit still). Surely he can't resist that!
Rob, Don't let them tell you that. It IS normal to never have had a pet. I never have. My wife did, for some time. But I never did. Just because they lived in my house doesn't mean I liked it. And now we don't anymore. The End. I really like the part about us not having them anymore. That's my favorite part of the story.
