Record Breaking Pie Auction over $18,600

1. This is an Eddie-able Lyons Cake...
2. The Cake...Photo courtesy of Hansom Rob...we now know where Rob gets the Knick name Handsom from...Lookin' Good Pastor!
3. The "Big News" as eluded to on Nick Burns Blog...well this should be a hint for you...see if you can figure it out from this pic...
4. Molly spoke her first words tonight, and I quote..."My mom hates it when you blog about her...She teaches us girls that you are her "enemy" but I loved all the attention when you blogged about ME non-stop for 9 monthes...and covered my birth exclusively, thanks uncle Mark..."
5. One of the best Rhubarb Pies ever...second only to my Mom & Grandma's...That Gaye Cantrell can sure make a mean peice of pie!
6. Mandy, however disagrees...
7. ...and so does Cindy...Rhubarb is not her style...
8. That is a $800 Blackberry Cobbler...and I'm not Kiddin...
9. ..."Like my Baked Goods?..."
10. So...where is this idiot Hillenblog guy that blogged about my daughter being pregnant for so long...and have you seen Molly lately...I'm not sure who has her?
11. Jordan Hunter...Your the Man...Thanks for doin it up right...Auction Style...
12. The Final Pie...Teri Roy's Famous Peanut Butter Creme Pie..."It needs to bring $900 to break the old all time record..."
13. Someone...whose initials are (Matt Burch)...has the idea...to see how much people will pledge to pool their money...and put the pie in Pastors Face...$100 per person. Has anyone ever eaten a whole $3500 pie before? all in one bite?
14. That's right folks...$3500 for one Pie...in the face...of one Pastor Eddie Lyons...and rightfully so...Burch gets to do the honors.
15. ..."I'm not sure this was such a great idea...This was my favorite Shirt..."
16. Teri Roy...the baker of Pie # 121 the $3500 pie...and the Pastor who gets to take it home...

So...when all the Meringue is settled...over 500 people in attendance...at the annual Chili Supper and Pie Auction...with all procedes to benefit the HSBC missions trip scholarship fund...over $18,600 raised...with 121 pies auctioned off...that is an average of $153 per pie...Six slices per pie...that is $25.50 per slice...not bad...all things considered.

Special thanks to Gary and Lisa Wilson...for putting together the "best Pie Auction ...Evvvver...and a great 2006 Missions Conference.

I'm so sorry I was sick all week and couldn't participate! There is nothing in the world to compare to the HSBC Chili/Pie Auction!

Actually, it was only ONE hundred and twenty-one (121) pies sold. That's over $150 per pie. TOO COOL!
