love both of these videos. John Mark is an incredible artist, flawless live...all of his cds are great. I'm new to the Jesus Culture crew, but so far I like what I hear. If you like John Mark, then check out Mark Mathis and Josh Baldwin

Not sure I have ever heard such an irreverent description of Jesus coming to earth... "Heaven meets Earth like a sloppy wet kiss" ??? The rest of the song is great, but that line seems innaprop... and it's strange how this song never mentions a savior or Jesus, even when she gets all worked up near the end.

That's so funny anonymous....that line is my FAVORITE line of the song. Here's why....

The first time I heard this line, I imagined the scene of the prodigal coming home and being embraced by his father. I am a fan of word pictures and that one just hits me to the core every time I hear it.

I've never thought that the "sloppy wet kiss' line was irreverent. For me it is a great word picture showing the magnitude of God's love for us. I love that this line seems to say that once we are in the embrace of the Father, He loves us extravagantly, passionately and sincerely. I'm thankful that He is unabashed with His expressions of love. God has called us to a passionate love relationship with Himself. I'm not interested in a "hand shake" encounter with Him.

Now about the song not having Jesus or Savior in it....who else would she be talking about? I hope you made it to 6:50 when Kim goes the extra mile to make sure everyone knows that she is talking about God. When we hear love songs on the radio, we think about the people we love here on earth, but the song doesn't have their name in it. Dare I say there are some great "secular" songs that the Lord has used in my life to speak His truth?

I know that there is safety in anonymity, but if it's how you truly feel, why not own your words?

As you can tell, I'm a passionate person and could go on for a few more paragraphs. I'll close with this....We each choose our own level of intimacy with the Lord and I would take a sloppy wet kiss from Heaven anytime....and THAT gets me all worked up!

embarrassed? What joy our God must have in seeing one who expresses her love for Him with no reservation or thought of how 'others' perceive her... i will never be embarrassed of expressing my passionate love for my Savior, my Creator; He wasn't embarrassed to be hung on a cross for me bleeding and most likely naked before a great number of people! I will never be embarrassed for Him and never need anyone to "feel embarrassed" for me as I express this passionate love and adoration for Him before the whole world! I hope 'anonymous' that someday you are able to express freely your love for your Savior . . . may He plant in you a fire for Him also!
